Most homes do well with 5-inch gutters. Six-inch gutters carry more water, so they're a good choice for large or steep roofs, roofs where several slopes drain into one corner, or homes that see overflowing gutters during heavy South Carolina storms. We'll look at your roof and recommend the right size.

Usually it's a clog — leaves, pine needles or roof grit in the gutter or downspout. It can also be a gutter that has lost its slope, a downspout that's too small, or too few downspouts for the size of the roof. We'll find the cause, clean and repair what's needed and, if you like, install gutter guards so it doesn't keep happening.
